Question 1

What is GloBallHoops?

Accepted Answer

GloBallHoops is a basketball community platform that connects players, teams and organizations. You can register for tournaments and leagues, join or host pickup games, track individual and team statistics, follow organizations, and build a public player profile with your history, stats and radar chart.

Question 2

Who operates GloBallHoops?

Accepted Answer

GloBallHoops is a commercial brand of SACO Connect SAS de CV, a Mexican company based in Mexico City. Our only official support channel is the Contact page.

Question 3

Is GloBallHoops free to use?

Accepted Answer

Yes — creating a profile, joining teams, registering for events run by organizations, viewing stats and using the community features is free. A paid subscription is required to organize your own events, such as creating public or private pickup games. Some competitions run by organizations may also charge their own entry fees.

Question 4

What can I do as a player?

Accepted Answer

Build a public profile, get discovered by teams and organizations, register for tournaments and leagues, join pickup games, track your statistics per game and per event, compare yourself against category averages with the radar chart, and connect with friends and teammates.

Question 5

What can organizations and coaches do?

Accepted Answer

Organizations can create tournaments, leagues, clinics, camps and pickup programs, manage rosters, schedule games, capture live stats, publish standings and results, manage staff and referees, and collect entry fees online through the integrated payment processor.

Question 6

Is there a minimum age?

Accepted Answer

GloBallHoops is available to users 13 years or older. Users under 18 must have verifiable guardian consent, which is collected through the in-app guardian-approval flow before the account becomes active.

Question 7

How public is my profile?

Accepted Answer

By default your profile photo, display name and username, residency at country/state/city level, and your teams, events, participation and statistics are visible to anyone on the internet — this is core to how the platform promotes players. If you're not comfortable with that, you should not create an account. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Question 8

How does QR check-in work at events?

Accepted Answer

Registered participants use a time-limited, cryptographically signed QR code from their User ID page. Staff scan it to record attendance for a specific event. Tokens expire quickly and cannot be reused.

Question 9

How does subscription billing work?

Accepted Answer

Subscriptions are billed monthly. If a payment fails, your account is marked Past Due for the first 5 days, giving you time to settle the balance. From day 6 the account becomes Suspended, and suspended accounts cannot create new pickup events or new programs until the balance is paid.

Question 10

Can I cancel or change my subscription?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can change tier or cancel from your Subscription page. Historical billing records are kept for the period required by Mexican tax and commercial law.

Question 11

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Go to Account Config → Danger Zone and request account deletion. Your personal identifiers (name, email, photos, exact residency) are removed. Historical game and team statistics are kept in anonymized form so that competition records and team histories remain accurate for other participants.

Question 12

How do I report inappropriate behavior?

Accepted Answer

Use the Contact page to report abuse. Organizations can also apply strikes, suspensions and bans to participants under their disciplinary system, and repeat offenders can be removed from the platform.

Question 13

What languages does GloBallHoops support?

Accepted Answer

The app is currently available in English only. Additional languages may be added in the future.
